Individual Therapy
Find relief from what is weighing you down and confidence in how you move forward.
Maybe your mind rarely feels quiet. You replay conversations, imagine everything that could go wrong, or feel consumed by thoughts you cannot seem to turn off. Perhaps grief, trauma, relationship pain, or a difficult transition has left you feeling unlike yourself. You may look capable on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck.
You do not have to keep carrying it alone.
I provide compassionate, collaborative therapy for women and young adults who want to understand what is happening beneath the surface, experience meaningful relief, and respond to life with greater clarity and confidence.

You do not need to arrive with the perfect label for what you are experiencing. We can begin with what feels difficult and work together to clarify what you need.
A thoughtful approach tailored to you
I do not believe therapy should feel like a one-size-fits-all formula. Depending on your needs and goals, I may integrate:
-
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to understand and change patterns among thoughts, emotions, and actions.
-
Exposure and response prevention (ERP) to help people with OCD and anxiety approach feared uncertainty without relying on compulsions or avoidance.
-
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help the mind and body process traumatic or distressing experiences.
-
Emotion-regulation and somatic strategies to help you notice, tolerate, and respond to emotions more effectively.
-
Family-systems and relational perspectives to understand how your history and relationships influence present patterns.
-
Solution-focused and strengths-based practices to turn insight into meaningful action.
For clients who desire it, faith integration is collaborative and may include exploring identity, grief, trust, boundaries, discernment, or your relationship with God. It will never be used to dismiss emotions, bypass pain, or take away your agency.
What you can expect
Our first sessions will focus on understanding what brings you to counseling, what is affecting you now, and what you hope will be different. Together, we will establish goals and choose approaches that fit your needs.
Therapy may involve learning practical skills, processing earlier experiences, experimenting with new responses, and noticing changes between sessions. We will periodically revisit your goals so our work remains purposeful and responsive to you.
I offer in-person counseling in Watkinsville, convenient to Athens and Oconee County, as well as secure virtual therapy for clients located throughout Georgia, and soon to be Arkansas, Arizona, Louisiana, Minnesota and Ohio.
