Virtual Therapy

Consistent support that fits more naturally into your life.

Life can be full, and getting to an office is not always realistic. Whether you are balancing work, parenting, college, travel within Georgia, health needs, or a demanding schedule, virtual therapy can make it easier to receive consistent support.

I offer secure online counseling for clients throughout Georgia. Some clients meet entirely online, while others combine virtual and in-person appointments according to their needs, schedules, and clinical goals. We can discuss which format—or combination of formats—would serve you best.

Virtual therapy may be especially helpful if:

  • You live outside the Athens or Watkinsville area.

  • Work, school, parenting, transportation, or health needs make office visits difficult.

  • You attend college away from home and want greater continuity during the school year and breaks.

  • You prefer receiving support from a private, familiar environment.

  • You want the flexibility to alternate between online and in-person sessions when appropriate.

Sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that can be accessed from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Video sessions are generally preferred because being able to see one another supports communication and connection. You will need a private location, a reliable internet connection, and a device that allows us to meet without interruption.

Virtual therapy can still feel personal, connected, and collaborative. During your consultation, we can discuss your needs and determine whether online therapy is clinically appropriate for you. Some concerns or phases of treatment may be better served in person, and we will revisit the format if your needs change.

Please note: Because counseling licensure is based on the client’s location, you must be physically located in Georgia (soon to include Arkansas, Arizona, Louisiana, Minnesota, and Ohio) at the time of every virtual therapy session.
